Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Overview
RSociety ("we", "us", "the Platform") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA.
2. Information We Collect
Wallet Address: Your Solana wallet public key, used as your account identifier. We do not collect private keys or seed phrases.
On-Chain Data: All betting transactions, settlements, and financial interactions are recorded on the Solana blockchain and are publicly visible. This includes bet amounts, outcomes, and timestamps.
Platform Data: We store the following in our backend database (Convex):
- Betting history and leaderboard data
- Support chat messages and dispute records
- Responsible gambling settings (deposit limits, self-exclusion status)
- Age verification and ToS acceptance records
- Session analytics (anonymous, aggregated)
Client-Side Storage: We use localStorage for performance caching of verification states (age verification, ToS acceptance, onboarding completion). These do not contain personally identifiable information.
Technical Data: IP address (for geo-restriction compliance only — not stored long-term), browser type, and device information for security monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the gambling platform
- Process bets, settlements, and payouts
- Enforce responsible gambling limits and self-exclusion
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations (geo-restrictions, age verification)
- Detect and prevent fraud, collusion, and abuse
- Provide customer support and dispute resolution
- Generate aggregated analytics to improve the Platform
4. Blockchain Transparency
RSociety operates on the Solana blockchain. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:
- All on-chain transactions are permanent and publicly visible.
- Your wallet address and transaction history are publicly accessible on blockchain explorers.
- On-chain data cannot be modified or deleted after confirmation.
- The provably fair RNG system makes game outcomes verifiable by anyone.
This transparency is a feature of blockchain-based gaming, not a privacy violation. We encourage you to use a dedicated wallet for gambling to maintain separation from other financial activities.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Law enforcement: When required by law or valid legal process.
- Service providers: Infrastructure providers (Hetzner, Solana RPC providers) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Error tracking: Sentry for error monitoring (no personal data beyond technical stack traces).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your wallet address.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate off-chain data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of off-chain data (note: on-chain data cannot be deleted).
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-app support chat or file a dispute.
7. Data Retention
Off-chain data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and comply with legal obligations. Responsible gambling records (self-exclusion, limits) are retained indefinitely for player protection. On-chain data is permanent and immutable.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including HMAC- authenticated API endpoints, Ed25519 wallet signature verification, Content Security Policy headers, rate limiting, and encrypted data at rest. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
